Embossing types

“Haas Prägetypen” types are intended for hotfoil-stamping and embossing. They are casted from a tough zinc-aluminum alloy without the addition of lead.

12 typefaces in different sizes are available.

About me

As the last trained typecaster in Europe, I maintain the 570-year tradition that began with Johannes Gutenberg.

For private individuals, companies and institutions I cast typefaces in the rooms of the Hessian State Museum in Darmstadt.

    I am casting hotmetal typefaces since 1963 – first as an employee of the formerly foundry Stempel AG, since 1986 I am running the business on my own.
